Ingredients:

For the dough:
  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (about 110°F/45°C)
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 to 3 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
For the filling:
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
        Instructions:
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, egg, and yeast mixture. Mix until well combined.

  3. Gradually add in the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour, a little at a time.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.

  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a bowl, combine the diced mangoes, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.

  6. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down to release the air. Roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

  7. Spread the mango filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side, then slice it into 12 equal pieces.

  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover them with a kitchen towel, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.

  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  10. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  11. Once the rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.

Enjoy your delicious mango sweet rolls!
